🐾 Building curiosity & confidence in exploring new environments
🐾 Responding more to voices and beginning to recognize their names

This is such a fun age as their personalities really start to shine through!
Watching them grow week by week is truly the best part of raising puppies.
Our sweet pups are officially 4 weeks old! This is such a fun stage — they’re becoming more curious, playful, and interactive each day.
Three weeks old is when the magic really starts happening ✨🐾
At this stage, puppies are transitioning from newborns to curious little explorers. Here are the big 3-week milestones you’ll start to see:
• 👀 Vision & hearing improving – They’re responding more to movement and sound.
• 🐾 Wobbly walking turns into real steps – Less crawling, more toddling (and the cutest clumsy falls).
• 🦷 Baby teeth beginning to erupt – Which means more mouthing and sibling chewing.
• 🎶 New sounds – Tiny barks, growls, and playful yips during wrestling matches.
• 🐶 Tail wags with intention – They’re starting to show excitement and engagement.
• 🧠 Awareness of littermates – Play becomes more interactive and purposeful.
• 🐕🦺 Early potty habits forming – They begin moving away from their sleep area to go.
• 🤍 Seeking comfort from mom – Nursing is still important, but independence is slowly growing.
Week three is the bridge between sleepy newborn days and full-on puppy chaos — and it’s one of the sweetest stages to watch as their personalities begin to shine.
At just 2 weeks old, puppies are still in their newborn stage, but big changes are happening!
. Eyes are opening: They’ll begin to peek at the world around them.
. Ears start to open: Sound becomes part of their new experiences.
. Still wobbly: They aren’t walking yet, just scooting & wobbling around.
. Fully dependent on mom: Nursing every few hours for growth & comfort.
. Sleepy stage: Growing pups sleep up to 90% of the day.
This stage is all about growing, bonding, and gentle handling.
The best is yet to come as their little personalities start to shine!

Mom rarely leaves the whelping box—total super-mom mode
There’s something truly magical about the moment puppies are born. Tiny, warm, and completely dependent on their mother, they enter the world with closed eyes and ears, guided only by instinct to find warmth and milk.
It’s a quiet, incredible beginning to life. But it’s also a delicate time. Newborn puppies are fragile and rely entirely on their mom for comfort, nutrition, and protection.
Those first few days are filled with careful watching, gentle care, and a lot of gratitude for every tiny squeak and wiggle as they begin their journey.
